Bafang Dumpling Opening Soon in Santa Clara

Bafang Dumpling is making its Bay Area debut soon right here in Santa Clara. 

The Taiwanese fast-food chain Bafang Dumpling is planning to open in Santa Clara Square. The opening is expected later this year, likely in the Fall. 

In addition to dumplings, the restaurant’s specialties include potstickers, Taiwanese noodle soup and boba milk teas.

The restaurant does not accept tips. 

Irvine Company Retail Properties owns Santa Clara Square Marketplace on Augustine Drive off of Scott, Bowers and 101. Among the corporate tenants in adjacent commercial properties include AMD, Samsung and NetSkope. The retail tenants include Whole Foods Market, Il Fornaio, Puesto, Starbucks, Eureka, Fleming’s, Lee’s Sandwiches and more. 

The location will have capacity for 50 plus outdoor dining options. 

The chain debuted in the U.S. in 2022 by opening a location  in Southern California, having since opened 10 Southern California locations. 

Bafang opened its first restaurant in Taiwan in 1998. Since then, they’ve opened more than 1,100 locations in Taiwan, Hong Kong and China.
